F.D. Thomas Announced Redwood Painting Company Acquisition

Redwood Painting Company has been acquired by F.D. Thomas, an ASRC Industrial company and one of the largest industrial coating and specialized contractors in the United States.

For more than 75 years, Redwood, based in Pittsburg, California, has been involved in the application of a wide range of protective coating solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential clients.

D.P. Del Monte’s one-man house painting business, founded in 1947, grew into one of the most experienced painting and coating enterprises in the western United States.

His sons, Charles and George Del Monte, who today run the company, have carried on his ideals of systematic, steady growth based on strong business processes and the ability to evolve.

“It is a privilege to welcome the talented management team of Redwood Painting to the FDT organization and broader AIS family of companies,” FDT President Dan Thomas stated.

“The addition of Redwood enhances our presence in the maintenance and wastewater markets while providing another platform to continue FDT’s growth in pursuit of AIS’s enterprise purpose.”
