Latitude Margaritaville is Expanding into Texas

By   /

Margaritaville and Minto Communities USA announced that Latitude Margaritaville is expanding into Texas, introducing the award-winning and wildly popular communities for those 55 and better to Austin, Dallas, and Houston markets.

Minto and global lifestyle brand Margaritaville are collaborating to create Latitude Margaritaville communities.

These communities are inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, a singer-songwriter and best-selling author whose songs evoke a desire for tropical escape and relaxation.

Latitude Margaritaville currently has three locations: Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach, Latitude Margaritaville Watersound near Panama City Beach, and Scenic Highway 30A, and Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

“Latitude Margaritaville has redefined how pre-and-active retirement living is viewed forever with a combination of world-class amenities and island-inspired villa, single-family and cottage homes,” said Scott Rogers, Minto’s newly-appointed Vice President of Acquisition and Development – Texas.

He will be based in Dallas and will lead Minto’s strategic land positioning efforts as well as the establishment of a development and operating team in each new market under license from Margaritaville.

“I am impressed by the Latitude Margaritaville brand’s innovative placemaking and vision. Locations are carefully considered and must meet specific criteria in order to be chosen for a community, such as adequate land, a temperate climate, proximity to an airport, convenient retail and service businesses, and nearby medical offices and hospitals.

Another critical factor is easy to access to outstanding leisure activities in the surrounding area. These criteria are unquestionably met by Dallas, Austin, and Houston.”

“The sense of community we’ve seen at our previously opened Latitude Margaritaville properties in Daytona Beach, Hilton Head, and Watersound has been truly incredible,” said Jim Wiseman, Margaritaville’s President of Development.

“In Texas, the Margaritaville brand has a strong foundation. As we expand the development of Latitude Margaritaville communities, the state represents a tremendous opportunity. We are excited to bring our iconic way of life to the Southwest.”
