McCoy’s Building Supply to Open in Spicewood, Texas

By   /

McCoy’s Building Supply has laid the groundwork for a new location in Spicewood, Texas. The project is set to open in the summer of 2022.

Builders, remodelers, do-it-yourselfers, and the farm and ranch community will all benefit from the new Spicewood location.

McCoy’s is a strong sponsor of Texas FFA, 4-H, and the Texas High School Rodeo Association, and also carry farm and ranch equipment.

“McCoy’s has been serving the Austin area since we opened our first store there in 1969,” Phil Hutchinson, a local real estate manager, said.

“We believe in Austin and are excited for the continued growth and success of the Central Texas area.”

The project is projected to take 30 weeks to complete, with Embree Group of Georgetown, Texas serving as general contractor.

The store’s architecture will be similar to McCoy’s stores in Liberty Hill and Bay City, Texas, with a big indoor retail area, a paved lumberyard, and a large drive-through lumber storage facility.

McCoy’s is located in San Marcos, Texas, and is run by Brian McCoy, chairman and CEO, and Meagan McCoy Jones, president and COO.

In Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico, McCoy’s employs approximately 2,900 people and maintains 89 stores, three distribution centers, and two millwork plants.
