Rycenga Lumber has bought Weber Lumber in Muskegon, Mich., bringing two West Michigan lumberyards under one owner.
Grand Haven, Mich. based Rycenga Lumber, a family owned lumber and building materials supplier, has acquired Weber Lumber, an established lumberyard in Muskegon, Mich.
The company says the deal unites two local businesses with deep ties to the West Michigan building community and marks a key step in its growth. Combining resources, experience and teams will let Rycenga strengthen its operations and better serve builders, contractors, remodelers and homeowners along the West Michigan Lakeshore.
“Bringing Weber Lumber and Rycenga Lumber together is an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths of both organizations,” said John Rycenga, president of Rycenga Lumber.
“We are proud to welcome the Weber team and look forward to continuing the personal service and strong relationships that customers have come to value.”
Rycenga plans to honor the legacy Weber has built in Muskegon while using it as a foundation for the future. “We understand that a lumberyard is more than a place to purchase building materials. It is about the relationships built with customers, employees, and the community,” said Rycenga. “Our goal is to preserve what makes Weber special while bringing additional resources and opportunities for the future.”
Company officials said the change is meant to be seamless for Weber customers. The current team stays in place, and over time customers will gain expanded products, services and resources from both locations.
