Blue Ridge Lumber Acquires Two Pennsylvania Businesses

By   /

Blue Ridge Lumber, which has five facilities in New Jersey, has expanded into Pennsylvania by acquiring two companies in the last year.

According to Greg Ackerson, president and owner of the family business, the acquisitions happened almost simultaneously.

When Ackerson and his staff were negotiating the purchase of Cramer’s Cashway and its three sites in East Stroudsburg, Mount Pocono, and Kresgeville, the company received a call from Gumble Brothers in Tofton. Gumble Brothers’ acquisition was announced in late February.

All of the locations are within 40 minutes of the company’s headquarters.

Blue Ridge Lumber, which has been family-owned and operated for more than 60 years, has integrated the purchased companies under the Blue Ridge Lumber brand, according to Ackerson.
