Holcim US Expands Aggregates in Fast Growing Colorado Market

By   /

Holcim US has made its third acquisition in Colorado in recent months, bolstering its foothold in the fast growing state.

Tezak Heavy Equipment (“Tezak”), a family-owned aggregates producer and specialist civil construction company with significant roots in the Colorado Springs area, was acquired by the company today.

The acquisition adds significant synergies to Holcim’s current base in the fast rising Colorado Springs area.

“With Colorado among the leaders in U.S. population and GDP growth, Holcim understands how important construction in the region is and will become,” said Toufic Tabbara, Region Head, North America at Holcim US. “Partnering with companies like Tezak, a trusted regional aggregates and construction provider, we are able to build on our growth of the Colorado Springs market.”

The deal includes all civil construction, haulage, and maintenance businesses, as well as four quarries near Colorado Springs that will supply decades of reserves in an expanding market. Tezak’s quarry acquisition complements Holcim’s recent aggregate operations acquisitions in December 2022 and January 2023.
