Heartland Building Center Locations Acquired by Mead Lumber

Heartland Building Center, with locations in Hays, Stockton, and Russell, Kansas, has been acquired by Mead Lumber.

Heartland Building Center, founded in 1892, is a full-service lumber and building materials supplier serving professional builders, homeowners, and commercial contractors in north central Kansas. LBM Century Club membership is held by the company.

The company will continue to be known as Heartland Building Center.

The current management team, led by general manager Derrick Bussman, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, as will all current employees.

The company now has 47 locations, including five truss and wall panel manufacturing plants, in Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

Mead Lumber specializes in providing builders and homeowners with a complete line of materials such as lumber, building materials, trusses and wall panels, millwork, kitchen cabinets and countertops, siding, decking, windows, doors, and hardware.
