According to the Superior Telegram, Manion Truss of Superior, which is part of Manion’s Wholesale Building Supplies, plans to relocate out of state.
According to CEO Rob Manion, the company will relocate production from Superior, Wisconsin, to Pillager, Minnesota.
“This was not a decision we took lightly,” he stated in a statement. “After a comprehensive review of our operations, it became clear that continued production at the facility was not sustainable.”
Manion stated that he informed the team of under 50 employees of the move on Thursday, December 4.
Several team members will be able to migrate to employment in Manion’s other companies, he said. The final day of production is set on December 19.
Manion Wholesale Building Supplies in Superior is still open. According to the business website, the company was formed 40 years ago and is located in Superior.
It also has a Manion’s Wholesale distribution center in St. Cloud, MN.
