Kodiak Acquires Sunrise Builders Supply, Extending its Reach into Tennessee and Mississippi

By   /

Sunrise Builders Supply will be acquired, according to Kodiak Building Partners. The organization, which is run by President Charles Thomas, has offices in Tennessee and Mississippi.

In order to serve builders, contractors, and do-it-yourself residents in northern Mississippi and southern Tennessee, Sunrise Builders Supply was established in Horn Lake, Mississippi, in 1996. Since its foundation, Sunrise has grown its reach by opening a second facility in Arlington, Tennessee, in 2019. Sunrise currently serves both local communities by providing timber, engineered wood, trusses, hardware, tools, paint, and other supplies.

Sunrise Builders Supply provides assistance for projects of any size and places a high priority on customer service, high-quality products, and developing lasting connections with clients, partners, and suppliers. The company’s workforce has over 100 years of combined experience.

According to Kodiak, the timber and building products industry has been a significant growth market, and this acquisition takes the company’s overall owned-and-operated footprint to over 100 locations throughout 25 states.
“Being a member of a large, national organization like Kodiak would open up more prospects for our company’s growth and those of our employees, as well as give us access to new suppliers. According to Sunrise Builders Supply president Charles Thomas, the company will continue to supply its customers with the high-quality products and exceptional customer service they have come to expect from us.

Mike Flood, executive vice president of operations at Kodiak, said: “We have long respected Charles Thomas’ leadership and the outstanding products, staff, and culture that he has established at Sunrise. “We are eager to grow in this area and carry on Sunrise Builders Supply’s local tradition. It is essential to keep putting our emphasis on regional autonomy and knowledge even as we expand as an organization.

According to Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak, “We have been researching growth opportunities in the Southeast market for some time, and Sunrise Builders Supply stood out as a like-minded partner focused on customer-first service and deep relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and the local community.” “We are eager to welcome Sunrise’s team to the Kodiak family and look forward to a bright future.”
