Arnold Lumber Company of West Kingston, Rhode Island, has become the latest flagship dealer for Beach House Shake, the Authentic Composite Shingle, according to Tando Composites.

Arnold Lumber will stock the whole Beach House Shake line in order to serve Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Eastern Connecticut.

Arnold Lumber has been developing trusting relationships with builders, remodelers, homeowners, and the community in Rhode Island since 1911, with four facilities in West Kingston, Wakefield, Bristol, and Westerly. Beach House Shake, according to Matt Semonik, VP of Sales & Operations for Arnold Lumber Company, can assist meet demand for natural cedar shingles on the New England shore.

“Rhode Island is iconic for its weathered cedar shingle look and we’re excited to offer a high-performance alternative to natural white and red cedar shingles that doesn’t compromise on beauty,” Semonik said. “In a big second home market, no one wants to be faced with extensive repairs and maintenance after a long winter.”

“Beach House Shake is a genuine composite shingle that has the appearance of natural cedar shingles and will look as good as the day they were placed for the life of the home. We are delighted to have Arnold Lumber join us in making Beach House Shake available to their consumers “said Ralph Bruno, CEO and President of Derby Building Products, Tando Composites’ parent company. “Whether looking for the undeniable appearance of bleached shingles or the rich look of western red cedar shingles, Beach House Shake delivers what the market is demanding.”

Beach House Shake’s composite technology, which has been approved by Miami-Dade County for High Velocity Hurricane Zones, provides a new degree of authenticity as well as architectural perfection. With the delicate characteristics of real cedar shingles, each shingle is unique. It installs faster than natural cedar shingles, saving time and money on installation costs.

Beach House Shake comes in four natural cedar colors: Atlantica, a silvery gray reminiscent of bleached cedar shingles; Sandcastle, a fresh white cedar; Hatteras, a darker gray prevalent in southern coastal locations; and Pacifica, a fresh western red cedar shingle.
