Oldcastle APG Acquires Hardscapes Manufacturer Calstone

By   /

Oldcastle APG, a CRH firm, announced today the acquisition of Calstone, a Northern California-based maker of pavers, concrete masonry, segmental retaining walls, and packaged products.

Calstone has an established name among professionals and customers in the building materials industry for its superior product quality and customer-centric approach to business, serving high-demand hardscapes regions such as San Francisco, Sacramento, San José, and the Central Valley-area.

“This is a strategically important addition to the Oldcastle APG family as we strive to offer complete outdoor living solutions to our customers across the country,” Tim Ortman, President of Oldcastle APG, stated.

“Calstone fits seamlessly into APG’s existing portfolio, elevating our product lines and manufacturing capabilities in California to a new level.”

Calstone was founded in 1947 and has three manufacturing plants in Tracy, Gilroy, and San Martin.

Calstone has sought continuous product innovation over the past 75 years in order to meet client expectations and maintain its position as a leader in the residential and commercial building sectors.

Calstone presents Oldcastle APG with the opportunity to produce considerable synergies and better serve consumers in the region due to its strong presence in the booming Northern California market.

Furthermore, the inclusion of Calstone enhances Oldcastle APG’s ability to address the growing demand for sustainable building goods, as Calstone’s circular manufacturing process integrates the use of recycled resources.

This transaction is consistent with Oldcastle APG’s recent acquisitions of EP Henry and Pebble Technology International, both of which are aimed at expanding solution offerings in lucrative areas.
