By   /

Icynene-Lapolla released a new product. This features a two-component spray polyurethane foam that is low density and low-pressure.

The design is for small projects or minor improvements on larger jobs.

The low-pressure foam product comes in two sizes, OC-450 and OC-1350. Each refers to the number of board feet that a container covers.

According to the manufacturer, the product is suitable for sealing and filling surfaces and voids.

It also deadens sound and minimizes the vibrations off thee structure.

“OC-450 and OC-1350 is a best-in-class system for low-pressure spray foam applications and meets numerous building code standards and certifications,” says Doug Kramer, president and CEO of Icynene-Lapolla.

The product is ideal for use with clean, dry substrates these include various surfaces and materials like masonry, wood, drywall and metal.

At a thickness of one inch the low-pressure foam has an initial 7.2 R-value and a 6.0 aged R-value.

It is UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified. Upon application it creates an air barrier that boosts the quality of the air in houses.

The foam may also work in crawlspaces and attics if these places meet certain conditions.

“The material helps round out our robust suite of energy efficient spray polyurethane foam and building envelope solutions,” says Doug Kramer.
