By   /

The newest McCoy’s Building Supply location in Liberty Hill, Texas, opened on June 7. The new store has 15,000 square feet of retail space on the inside and a paved, drive-thru lumberyard.

The new Liberty Hill store caters to professional homebuilders, remodelers, and do-it-yourselfers in the surrounding area. Store Manager Matthew Pool, along with Assistant Managers Tyler Volek and Alan McCarthy, leads the store team.

“We’re so excited to serve this community and build a lasting relationships with our customers,” said Pool.

“Our goal is to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly smile to everyone who shops with us.”

Pool, a native of Tyler, Texas, began his career with McCoy’s six years ago and has been the store manager of the company’s Belton, Texas, location for the past three years.

Rather than a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, it is McCoy’s Building Supply tradition to open a new store with a board-cutting ceremony.

The Liberty Hill board of directors will be cut on Wednesday, June 16 at 11 a.m., with members of the Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce speaking at the event.

Grand Opening Week festivities will take place at the store from June 14 to June 19, with daily giveaways, food, and vendor demonstrations to commemorate McCoy’s newest location.

Starting on Saturday, June 19, there will also be a chainsaw carving exhibition with sno-cones served.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the Grand Opening festivities.

McCoy’s is based in San Marcos, Texas. In Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico, McCoy’s employs over 2,800 people and operates 89 stores, three distribution centers, and two millwork facilities.
