Builders FirstSource Acquires Texas’ Apollo Software

By   /

Builders FirstSource stated on Thursday that it has purchased Apollo software assets from Katerra, a construction technology firm, for approximately $4.5 million.

Construction budgeting and scheduling, design collaboration and workflow, and field task assignments with mobile functionality are all available on the Apollo platform.

The acquisition is consistent with the company’s aim of addressing inefficiencies in the house construction process and complements Builders FirstSource’s recent acquisition of WTS Paradigm.

Builders FirstSource stated that its acquisition of Paradigm will be finalized in August 2021.

Paradigm focuses on software development and consulting services that assist homebuilders, merchants, and manufacturers in being more productive, increasing sales, and lowering expenses.

For its customers, Paradigm simplifies the process of configuring, manufacturing, and estimating complicated items such as windows and doors.

“Our digital strategy focuses on how we can make our customers’ businesses better by shortening project timelines and reducing waste,” Builders FirstSource President and CEO Dave Flitman said.

“The Paradigm acquisition provided the company with a critical entry point and the ability to be a leader in whole-house design. The Apollo software builds upon that foundation, providing features and functionality that will help us streamline the construction process. We look forward to leading the construction industry into a new age of technological innovation and efficiency.”

Builders FirstSource, based in Dallas, provides building products, prefabricated components, and services to the professional market sector for new home construction, maintenance, and remodeling.
