By   /

Estonian home building company Avrame launches its A-frame building kits for U.S. customers through AvrameUSA division.

The latter will source, engineer, package, and ship its products from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Avrame provides a total of 11 A-frame building kits. These products range from small storage sheds or studios to multi-room single-family houses.

Each product includes all of the lumber, windows, doors, roof and flooring structures, and building accessories needed.

It also comes with blueprints and building parts necessary for construction on a properly-readied foundation.

All parts are pre-cut, pre-drilled, and ready to assemble.

The homeowner must prepare the building site and foundation, hire a contractor or gather an assembly team.

They will also do the sourcing/installing of mechanical components which includes HVAC.

The kits are available in three styles:

  • Solo Series

Models in this category use a 14-foot triangular custom fabricated truss system.

These measure 14 feet wide and 13-feet, and 4 1/2 inches tall. Customers can choose from three available models, which range from 20-34 feet in length and 140 to 250 square feet in size.

The company envisioned these for use as personal enclaves, art studios, home gyms or workshops. Kit price range is from $8,600 to $26,100.

  • Duo Series

Products under this category use a 20-foot truss system, and measures 20 feet wide and 17 feet, 8 1/2 inches tall.

Some of the possible uses of the structures include mountain cabins, lake houses or short-term rentals.

Each floor plan comes with a dormer, one- to two-bedrooms, a bathroom, loft and kitchen. Three models range from 20-34 feet in length and 400-650 square feet in size. Price range is from $12,950 to $44,300.

  • Trio Series

Products in this series use a 30-foot truss system, and measures 30 feet wide and 27 feet tall.

Its design is ideal for a full-time home or gathering space. It comes with flexible floor planning and customized designs are available upon request.

Standard plans come with a dormer, 2-4 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, and a second-floor.

Five models are available and range from 20-50 feet in length and 700 to 1,600 square feet in size. Price range is from $23,650 to $91,450.

“Avrames can be built anywhere you want, on any style of foundation — new or pre-existing. They’re perfect for off-grid applications, and the steeply angled roof is ideal for installing solar panels,” Indrek Kuldkepp, founder of Avrame, said.

“Insulation has traditionally been the tricky part of building, which in the past kept A-frames as summer homes. But that issue has long-since been solved — and now, A-frames are a perfect year-round housing solution,” Indrek Kuldkepp continued.
